Formed in early 1967, 110 Sig Sqn replaced the 145 Signal Squadron in South Vietnam. The squadron was based at Vung Tau and provided critical high-frequency (HF) communication links to Australian forces, operating tape relay centers and communication hubs in Vung Tau and Saigon. Additionally, 110 Sig Sqn maintained a communication security (COMSEC) detachment at Nui Dat and supported the Headquarters Task Force rear link during operations alongside 104 Sig Sqn.
